Born to working class parents, Kenneth and Frankie Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Faith is the latter of ten children born to her parent's sustained marital union of 47 years. Of the ten children born to their vowed unification, seven were graciously, though reluctantly, given back to God shortly after their births. The Anderson's season of disappointment did not remove from them a willingness to endure and realize God's promise to bless them with a daughter. Their faithfulness was rewarded and their familial unit finalized with the birth of a treasured offspring who they respectively named Faith. The tenth child was born and the tenth child survived, as did her two older brothers, Keith Anderson and Joseph Anderson.
As a child, Faith was highly creative and possessed a vibrant imagination. Growing up in a stringent Christian household with limited exposure to secular influences, her desire to share her gifts and talents with the world would not be stifled. She knew that her life would be one of service, influenced by music, and that her service would bring about good fortune. Her parents implanted in her a persevering work ethic, coupled with a foundation of humility that has propelled her into the presence of music executives, artists, and likeminded, creative frontrunners in the music industry as well as in corporate settings.
Faith currently navigates between the creative and corporate worlds in a seamless fashion because she realizes that the two are undeniably entwined. Her career began in Mortgage Finance and Governance at the age of 20 and includes several years with The Bear Stearns Companies, Morgan Stanley, GMAC, and Secondary Market Investors and their subsequent mortgage divisions.
At the age of 22, she would be introduced to Kirk Franklin and thus begin her professional singing career as a soprano/alto on the following albums: The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin, Kingdom Come, HERO, Fight of My Life, and Hello Fear. Faith has toured the world over. Her touring experiences include "The Fight of My Life Tour" featuring Kirk Franklin, the "Hopeville Tour", which featured artists Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, and Smokie Norful, "The Hero Tour" which featured artists Kirk Franklin, Tina & Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, Myron Butler & Levi, and Men of Standard, and "The Steve Harvey Comedy Tour" featuring Steve Harvey and Kirk Franklin.
Her movie soundtrack participation includes the following: Kingdom Come which showcased the acting talents of Whoopi Goldberg, Jada Pinkett-Smith, LL Cool J, Toni Braxton, and other featured artists. She is also featured on the soundtrack of the recently released movie Joyful Noise starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton.
Her spiritual appearances include gospel crusades with Evangelist Billy Graham and evangelical leaders Franklin Graham and Luis Palau.
Her vast exposure to, and affiliations with, various artists has given Faith privilege, opportunity, and above all, access. She has been invited to continue supporting Kirk Franklin Ministries through various avenues such as recordings produced with and for others such as, Yolanda Adams, Jill Scott, Boys II Men, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Pastor Marvin Winans, Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Donnie McClurkin, Crystal Aikin, Tamela Mann, Shirley Caesar, Crystal Lewis, Anthony Evans, Tye Tribbett, J. Moss, and Toby Mac.
Her live stage performances include the Grammy Awards, BET's 25th Anniversary Show, the BET Celebration of Gospel, the NAACP Image Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, The Monique Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, BET's 106th & Park, TBN's Praise the Lord, Radio City Music Hall, and the UNCF Tribute to Stevie Wonder. Faith has performed on the world stage as she presented her artistic work to audiences at Billboard LIVE in Tokyo and Osaka Japan and The Experience in Lagos, Nigeria.
